Juve fans will be disappointed to know that they won’t have to wait long for a return to home ground.
The Italian champions are set to play their last away game at the San Siro on Saturday (3:00pm ET, Sky Sports).
It’s been more than a year since Juve last visited the city, which they won 3-0 in Turin in the Champions League final in May, 2014.
The Nerazzurri then missed out on the 2018 World Cup and a Champions League spot last year, which is why it’s a massive disappointment to see them go out in such a manner.
Juventus are still hoping to secure a place in next year’s Champions League, but there is a lot of work to be done before they do that.
“The league is not a competition, and I think it’s important that we all understand that.
In my opinion, the first priority is to be in the European Championship,” Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri said on Wednesday.
“We can’t give up hope, we have a lot to do.
We have to find a way to make it a success, because the competition is not the competition.
We want to be a contender for the Champions Cup and also for a place at the next World Cup.”
Juventus are hoping to finish second to Manchester United in the competition and the club will face Manchester City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in their group.
“Juventus have the chance to qualify for the 2018 Champions League,” Allegri added.
We need to make sure that we can beat them in the final.””
But if they go out of the group, I would say we’ll probably lose out in the knockout stage.
We need to make sure that we can beat them in the final.”
