Security doors need to be secured in a secure location.
They must be bolted, and should be securely bolted and secured to the exterior of the home, even if they’re just sitting on the outside of the house.
This is especially important if you’re planning to install security doors in a house with an open-air or a garage.

Secure the door.
The easiest way to secure the door is to secure it with two fasteners.
To secure the gate, secure it by making a vertical cut in the front of the door using the screws provided, as shown in the image above.
If the cut is too long, it can get stuck in the bolt, which will force it to open.
If you’re using a 2×2 planer, the cut should be a minimum of 3 inches long.2.
Remove the bolts.
Remove any bolts that may have stuck in your door.
You can use the 2×4 to remove these bolts, but it may be easier to use a hacksaw to cut them off.
Make sure the door bolts are clear, and make sure that the bolts are tight.3.
Install the door screws.
Secure them to the bolts using the 3/8-inch-long (3mm) lock nuts provided with the door hinges.
Secure your door by putting the bolts into place.4.
Remove and replace the door hardware.
The hardware used to secure doors should be simple, inexpensive, and easily replaceable.
You could also purchase a locking hardware kit, but this is more difficult to replace.
The door hardware should include a lock, and you could also use a screwdriver or nail gun to secure a lock on the door, or attach a spring bar.5.
Check the locks on the hinges.
If they are loose, you can easily remove the screws that are holding the hinges in place.
If there is a problem with the hinges, you should replace them.6.
Replace the door locks.
If your door locks are too loose to secure, you may need to replace them with a stronger, better-loved locking hardware.
If this is the case, you could try installing a new locking hardware instead.
The locks on your doors should look something like this:1.
Replace your hinges.5,6.
Check your hinges to make sure they’re still secure.7,8.
Replace any hardware on the front and back of the doors.9.
Remove, reinstall, and test your door hardware again.
