Instant security doors have been the key to preventing criminals from stealing cash, but security is becoming an increasingly important concern for many companies.
In the latest issue of RTE magazine, the company offers a “real security solution” for cashless businesses.
“We have taken security into our own hands, ensuring that our customers’ cash is always protected by the most up-to-date technology, ensuring security for all, and allowing customers to spend more time with their families,” the company said.
It said customers can now choose the security model that best suits them.
“You can choose the right security model for your business.
You can choose to use a ‘smart security’ option, which is secure but does not require any interaction with a cashier,” it said.”
Or you can opt for a ‘security-by-default’ option.
This is where the cashier is always on hand, checking the money and providing security as if you were in your own home.”
The security doors will be offered in three sizes, from £10 to £300.
“A new generation of smart security doors for cash and cheques, that are both secure and easy to use, will be available to retailers by the end of 2018,” Gumtree said.
Gumtree has also announced a range of “Smart Security” features, which it said will make the experience even better.
“These new security features include a smart home hub, where the hub can monitor security settings for the cash registers and the security doors so they can adjust their settings in real-time,” the firm said.
“The hub also lets customers know what’s happening in their cash register, allowing them to see when they’ve been tapped and when someone has entered their details.
The hub also features a ‘Smart Lock’ feature that can be activated remotely, so that it won’t be possible to pick up your money if it’s stolen.”
The new security models will be rolled out across the UK in 2019.
